Why Data Collage

SQL workflow your Fusion access actually allows.

Fusion SaaS doesn't expose direct database connectivity, so analysts end up running BI Publisher reports by hand. Data Collage replaces that loop with a real workbench — same boundary, dramatically better ergonomics.

Connect securely

Basic auth or Fusion SSO with JWT. On Windows, credentials live in the Windows credential vault — never in plaintext, never in SQLite.

SQL editor that earns its keep

Monaco-powered editor with syntax highlighting, snippets, a curated Oracle function catalog, bind parameters, find & replace, and one-key formatting.

Read-only, enforced

Every query is parsed and validated before leaving your machine. Only SELECT / WITH statements run — DML and DDL are rejected at the boundary.

Results you can work with

Fast AG Grid view of every result set. Sort, filter, hide, format columns (incl. multi-currency), add formula columns that reference each other, copy any column as an IN clause, and export to CSV or XLSX without ever leaving the app.

Open any record in Oracle Fusion

Right-click a cell → pick the entity (AP invoice, GL journal, PO, project, and more) → drill straight into the record in your browser. Linkify a column once and every row in it becomes clickable.

Saved analyses, history, snippets

Save SQL + formulas + formats + binds as a single portable .dcanalysis file. Every run is logged to local history, and your snippets follow the install.

Directives in your SQL

Pin the presentation to the query itself with --@title, --@hide, --@show, --@column_order, and --@format. Oracle sees plain comments; Data Collage sees the recipe. They version-control and share like any other SQL.

AI assist Coming soon

Generate SQL from natural language using a metadata-grounded model. Bring your own OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini key, or run locally with Ollama.

How it works

Built for the Fusion boundary.

Data Collage runs queries through Oracle Fusion’s BI Publisher reporting layer. Connect your account, write a query, and work with the results from your desktop.

  • One-time setup. The first Test Connection deploys the gateway report in your BI Publisher catalog. Your Fusion account needs permission to upload and run reports and data models. Check the setup requirements →
  • No DB credentials. Auth uses your Fusion identity (Basic auth or SSO). The app never asks for a database password — because it never needs one.
  • Offline metadata. A curated catalog of common Fusion tables ships with the app, so column-lookup works even before your first query lands.
